Russia and Italy to hold large-scale exhibitions in Cross Year of Museums

Preparations for the cross-Russian-Italian Year of Museums were the subject of discussion during a meeting between the head of the Russian Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova and Italian Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano. Representatives of both countries noted that bilateral cooperation in the field of culture is at a high level. According to the participants in the meeting, the start of large-scale projects is scheduled for the near future, TASS reports.

Earlier it was noted that cooperation between museums can become a solid basis for cooperation in the cultural sphere of Russia and Italy. The cross year will give an additional impetus to the development of dialogue between the two countries. It will result in new interesting ideas and projects.

The central event of the cross year will be the Russian-Italian Museum Dialogue Forum. Its participants will include the heads of the largest and most famous museums of the two states.

In addition, an exhibition will open in Italy, telling about the life and work of Fyodor Dostoevsky. The exposition will be prepared by the Dahl Museum of the History of Russian Literature.
