Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev reaches final of Australian Open

Russian Daniil Medvedev claims to win one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world - the Australian Open, which takes place in Melbourne. If the trophy goes to the most rated Russian tennis player, he can become the second racket in the world according to the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP), R-Sport reports.

The semi-final meeting of Daniil Medvedev with the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas lasted more than two hours and ended with the victory of the Russian in three sets, while the Greek was able to impose a real fight on his opponent only in the third game. For Medvedev, the victory was the 20th in a row at the ATP tournaments.

In the decisive match of the championship, he will meet with Serb Novak Djokovic, who in the semifinals was stronger than Russian Aslan Karatsev.
