The Myheritage company has launched the Deep Nostalgia project to bring people to life in images. This was reported by the Educational Union on its Facebook page.

Anyone can find out how Pushkin smiled, what a brooding Chekhov looked like: the neural network revived famous portraits of Russian writers. First, the system analyzes the image, highlights and enhances the face, and then adds animation to it.

The organizers urge to send them portraits of favorite characters and writers to bring them to life.

At the end of last year, first-year students of the Far Eastern Federal University, studying in cybersecurity and conducting research in the field of digital technologies, taught the neural network to write poetry in the style of the Russian poet Vladimir Mayakovsky.

The university said that for about a week the artificial intelligence studied the poet's works and his style of writing, as it gained the ability to write poetry in the style of the classic. Prior to that, the students used neural networks to develop a digital musician capable of performing works of certain styles.
