The TruD test will unite 46 countries, TASS reports. It will allow those who study Russian as a foreign language to join the Total Dictation action.

Test sites will operate in 152 cities - Peru, China, Costa Rica, Australia, the United States and other countries. Registration for the test will open on the same day as registration for the Total Dictation action - March 31.

According to Olga Rebkovets, who heads the Total Dictation Foundation, interest in the test is growing every year.

Last year, due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the test was held online. Thanks to this, it has become much more accessible. TruD can also be written in two formats this year.

The test is developed annually based on the text of the Total Dictation action. Ten assignments are specially designed for those who study Russian as a foreign language and know the language at a level from A2 to C1 according to the common European framework.
Similar to Total Dictation, TruD has four options for different time zones.

The free online course Ready for TruD - 2021 is now available to foreigners who want to join Total Dictation. It will help those who are studying Russian as a foreign language prepare for the educational action. For several years now, they have been asked to write a TruD test. This year the course is being implemented with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
