More than 50% of South Koreans support the use of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in the country. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological study, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the survey, slightly more than 38% do not believe that the country needs this drug. More than 20% answered that South Korea did not need Sputnik V at all.

To date, Seoul has agreed to supply over 190 million doses of various vaccines. This is enough to vaccinate almost 100 million people, although the number of the country's inhabitants does not exceed 52 million. AstraZeneca and Pfizer are now used in the country.

Seoul has already promised more than once that if the need arises, the authorities will study the possibility of purchasing any drugs. South Korean President Moon Jae In ordered to study all the information about the Russian vaccine. In particular, they have already begun to request data on the safety of the drug. A few days ago it became known that the preparation of the documents necessary for the approval of the vaccine in South Korea has begun.
