Participants from 80 countries applied for participation in the Leaders of Russia contest

The international track of the Leaders of Russia competition already covers 80 countries around the world, according to the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The most active applications were submitted by residents of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine. The top 5 also include Kyrgyzstan and Latvia. In addition, there are many representatives of Armenia, Germany, Uzbekistan and other countries among those wishing to compete for victory.

As the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova recalled, applications will be accepted until May 17. Participants will be tested for intellectual ability and managerial potential. They will also have to demonstrate their knowledge of Russian history, culture, geography, economics and Russian law. Those with the most points will be among the finalists. In the face-to-face format, the contestants will start competing in August.

As a reminder, Vyacheslav Nikonov, Chairman of the Board of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, joined the Supervisory Board of the Mezhdunarodnaya track.

As Russkiy Mir reported earlier, competitors from abroad must be no older than 55 years old, have at least 2 years of managerial experience and know Russian at a level sufficient to take tests. They will need to prove their foreign citizenship.

The Leaders of Russia competition is the flagship project of the Russia - Land of Opportunities platform launched in 2017 by President Vladimir Putin. The project is an attempt to create social lifts for talented and active Russians. There are no restrictions on place of residence and citizenship in the competition. The main condition is that everyone who wants to join the fight for victory must have a high level of command of the Russian language. The winners of the international direction will be able to obtain Russian citizenship in a facilitated manner, all finalists will be provided with a permanent residence permit and the right to work in Russia.
