"Songs of Victory" marathon will be performed in five countries, TASS reports. The Turetsky Choir and the Soprano bands will perform in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia and Kazakhstan. The program will be timed to coincide with the 76th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War.

The music marathon will open in Dushanbe on Friday, May 1. Then the bands will go to Tashkent, Alma-Ata and Bishkek, and on May 8 they will perform on the square of Belgrade. The concerts will be held in compliance with sanitary requirements.

The audience will hear songs of the war years, including "Darkie", "Katyusha", "What do you know about the war", "Buchenwald alarm". The singers will perform in national languages as well.

The "Songs of Victory" project was launched six years ago, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the defeat of the fascist troops; it is supported by the Moscow government, the RF Ministry of Culture and the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Over the past three years, the song marathon has taken place in 16 countries.
