Russian war drama Last Frontier screened around the globe

05.05.2021

Free screenings of the Last Frontier military drama (the local title is Podolsk cadets) will be held worldwide to celebrate Victory day. The movie is dedicated to the little-known events of the defense of Moscow - the feat of young cadets of the Podolsk infantry and artillery schools in October 1941.
The screenings are organized by Rossotrudnichestvo, VoenFilm studio and ANO May 9 with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The theme of the film is especially relevant now, when attempts to falsify and distort the history of the Great Patriotic War have become more frequent.

Producer and co-author of the script Igor Ugolnikov noted: “The film was filmed directly on the site of the battles and carries a “memory of the earth ”, conceived as a historically accurate film. This is an artistic story about real events and battles, real stories of heroes - Podolsk cadets and their commanders.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic in many countries, the film will be shown online.

Screenings will be held in Azerbaijan on May 5, in North Macedonia - on May 6, in Singapore - on May 7, in Sri Lanka and Germany - on May 8, in Armenia, Argentina, Cyprus, Greece, Denmark - on May 9.
