The Russian authorities are planning to restore air traffic with 5 countries, RIA Novosti reports. The planes will start flying from May 25 to Iceland, Malta, Mexico, Portugal and Saudi Arabia.

Two flights every week will connect Moscow with the Icelandic and Maltese capitals. There will be flights to Cancun, Lisbon and Jeddah 3 times a week. Airplanes will start flying weekly to Saudi Arabia from the capitals of Dagestan and Chechnya.

It is planned that from 25 May the number of flights to South Korea, Japan and Finland will increase. Planes from Primorye will fly to Seoul 3 times a week. It will also be possible to fly to South Korea on a weekly basis from Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The number of flights to the capital of Finland from Moscow and St. Petersburg will increase to 7 weekly. The same number of flights will fly from Moscow and Vladivostok to Tokyo. Once a week it will be possible to fly to the Japanese capital from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. From May 25, it will be possible to fly abroad in Omsk, Syktyvkar, Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk and Ulan-Ude.

In addition, starting from May 15, Russians can travel to Greece with residents of 20 other countries without restrictions. Entry by any means of transport through airports, seaports and checkpoints is open. Earlier, Athens limited the entry of Russian citizens with a quota of 4,000 people a week. Russians, like other guests from abroad, are required to be vaccinated or test negative for coronavirus. In this case, all conditions established by the Greek authorities must be observed.

Russia previously resumed flights with a number of countries in Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East since April 1, which was interrupted as part of quarantine measures. Russian airports will be able to take in flights from Germany, Syria, Venezuela, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Airplanes from Moscow to Caracas depart twice a week.
