A virtual reality film dedicated to the Kizhi Russian Museum won the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival. Russia's Ministry of Culture called the creation of the film and its international success a great example of promoting Russian museums, the department's website reports.

Alla Manilova, Deputy Minister of Culture, called the Kizhi Museum one of the most active in the country in creating promo materials.

The film about the Kizhi Museum is posted on the museum's YouTube channel. The creators called the 12-minute film "the first VR trip around the Kizhi island." Viewers can see the monuments of the museum from above and examine them in detail.
