The book about Soviet partisans who fought in the Italian Resistance has been published in Italian. Its authors, Massimo Eccli and Sandro Teti, worked in the archives of Italy, Russia, Germany and the USA. They managed to restore the names of many Soviet partisans who fought the Nazis in Italy.

Аrom 1943 to 1945, over 5,000 Soviet citizens fought side by side with the Italian partisans. The Red Army soldiers, taken prisoner by the Nazi Italian troops, joined the Resistance.

The book reportedly contains previously unknown facts and makes an important contribution to the history of the Italian Resistance and the fighting brotherhood of the Italian and Soviet partisans. It also includes a list of Soviet partisans, whose names the authors managed to find in the archives. The research allowed the descendants of the heroes to find out where their ancestors died and were buried.

Fyodor Poletaev is considered the most famous Soviet soldier who fought in the Italian Resistance. He was given the highest awards of the USSR and Italy for military exploits.
