The ''Together We Are Russia'' International Festival was held in Cairo. It was timed to coincide with the National Unity Day. The organizers of the festival are the Russian House and the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots (CCORC) in Egypt, CCORC writes on Facebook.

The festival united several cultural and sports events. One of the them was a concert by groups of Russian emigrants who came to Cairo from Alexandria, Hurghada and other cities of the country. The audience saw dance and vocal performances dedicated to the 60th anniversary of space science.

Young Russians from three cities in Egypt demonstrated their good physical shape by taking part in a sports marathon. The competition ended with an award ceremony and a tea party.

During the festival, the 27th country conference of  CCORC in Egypt was held at the Russian House in Cairo. Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko greeted the conference participants. The meeting was attended by representatives of local Russian organizations and Russian schools, as well as graduates of Russian universities.
