Samara hosts International Forum of Victory Volunteers

The Victory Volunteers Forum started the day before, on December 14, TASS reports. It is held both online and offline.

Young scientists and historians, high school students and students, public figures, and volunteers are taking part in the forum. Its program includes trainings, master classes, lectures, speeches by famous scientists, government officials and many others. 

The head of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov thanked the volunteers for their work aimed at defending the historical truth. 

The forum began with a concert where songs of the war years were performed. The heads of regional offices of the Victory Volunteers movement were presented with the letters of gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. 

Olga Amelchenkova, who leads the movement, thanked all the volunteers for their work in helping the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. According to her, almost 200,000 people have joined the Victory Volunteers movement this year. The movement, she added, is growing and expanding.
