The experts of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) made a positive conclusion regarding the clinical trials of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. According to deputy head of the Gamaleya Center Denis Logunov, the work on the recognition of production standards of the vaccine is partly completed, TASS reports.

The Gamaleya Center did not receive any critical remarks in regards with Sputnik V.

Earlier it became known that there were no more obstacles to the Sputnik V's recognition by the World Health Organization (WHO.) According to Russia's Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, this was confirmed by the head of the WHO, Tedros Ghebreyesus. To obtain official WHO approval for widespread use of the vaccine, it remains to complete "some administrative procedures."

Consultations are ongoing with the European Union on the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates. This will enable Russians vaccinated with Sputnik V to move around Europe more freely.
