Children from Russia and 53 countries joined Christmas Tree Festival

Kids from Russia and 53 other countries joined the Festival of New Year Trees. Its results, as well as the results of the New Year's Toys Fireworks contest, were summed up the day before, on January 31, the website of the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots reports.

The large-scale action was organized by the "Synergy of Talents" regional movement and international network design laboratories of the Oktyabrsky district of Rostov-on-Don.

The competition was held by the Coordinating Councils of organizations of Russian compatriots around the world. Toys were made in African and European countries, in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions, in the United States and Australia. Many Russian cities have joined the competition.

About 8,000 hand-made Christmas decorations, created by the hands of children, decorated 25 Christmas trees.

The winners were determined in the nominations "Christmas Tree of Peace and Friendship", "Silk Road", "Slavic Bazaar", "Traditions of the Old World", "New Year's Safari", "Visiting Santa", "Legends of the Tierra del Fuego" and others.

As part of the implementation of the international projects "Dialogue with Pushkin", supported by the Russkiy Mir Foundation, and "Flight over the World", the Pushkin and Space Christmas trees were decorated.

As Russkiy Mir reported, the festival was launched at the Russian Foreign Ministry. The Christmas Tree of Peace and Friendship of the 21st century appeared in the building of the Foreign Ministry. Its branches were decorated with toys made by the hands of young Russian compatriots and recognized as the best at the New Year's Toy Fireworks competition. The project also covered the buildings of the State Duma, the Parliamentary Library, the Troekurovsky Chambers and many others.
