A traveler from Spain, a member of the Russian Geographical Society Alvaro de Marichalar plans to go around the Kamchatka and Crimean peninsulas during a solo trip around the world on a jet ski. The traveler has already overcome a fifth of the route, TASS reports.

At a press conference at the Russian Embassy in Mexico, the Spaniard spoke about his plans to reach Kamchatka this November. And after passing the Suez Canal and the Bosporus, the traveler will be in the Crimea, according to his calculations, this should happen in a year or a little earlier.

Now Alvaro de Marichalar has covered 20% of the planned expedition, which started three years ago, but was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The expedition is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the first round-the-world trip undertaken by Ferdinand Magellan.
