The Moscow Kremlin Museums are not planning exhibitions in European countries until the West lifts anti-Russian sanctions, Interfax reports. According to the director of the museum, Elena Gagarina, taking into account the  unstable international situation, it is dangerous to send the cultural values of the country abroad. She is sure that now museums simply do not have the right to take such steps.

Gagarina noted that all the exhibits that were at foreign exhibitions were able to safely return home.

At the same time, work continues on projects planned in the Asia-Pacific region. The Moscow Kremlin Museums maintain relations with the countries of Southeast Asia.

Thailand is showing interest in the collection of Russian enamels. Elena Gagarina hopes that it would be possible to organize an exhibition there. But it's too early to talk about specific plans. Successful cooperation with China, which originated long ago, is developing. The "All Russia Autocrat" exhibition, which took place in Hong Kong, could not be prevented even by the restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic. The Soviet period of history is also of great interest in China.

At the present stage, the museum is focused on the Russian regions. Two large-scale projects are planned in Chelyabinsk and Vladivostok this autumn.

The Ministry of Culture has suspended the temporary export of museum items from Russia to foreign exhibitions. It is expected that exhibition cooperation with friendly countries will be restored next year.
