Russian Daniil Medvedev started the 10th week at the top of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings. Thus, he surpassed the previous Russian record held by Marat Safin, who held the top spot in the rankings for nine weeks, GoTennis.ru reports.

The current year is developing very successfully for Daniil Medvedev. At the end of February, the Russian became the first racket for the first time in his career, surpassing the achievement of the long-term world leader Novak Djokovic.

For the first time, Medvedev stayed at the top of the international tennis list for less than a month, but in mid-June he was able to reclaim his victory. The second in the latest version of the ranking was Alexander Zverev, representing Germany. Russian Andrei Rublev, became 8th.
