Mural in honor of Valentina Tereshkova created in Chile

A mural dedicated to Valentina Tereshkova has adorned one of the buildings in the Chilean capital, the Rossotrudnichestvo telegram channel reports. The graffiti depicting the world's first female cosmonaut united Russian and Latin American motifs.

Representatives of local authorities, residents of the city, Russian diplomats and compatriots took part in the solemn opening ceremony.

At the opening, they also performed a traditional Chilean dance - cueca, while Ekaterina Gutkina, the soloist of the Kalinka folklore band, performed Russian folk songs.
