The building of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Helsinki has been arrested by the Finnish authorities, RIA Novosti reports. The land plot was also arrested, local media write. The reason for this decision was the sanctions imposed by the European Union against Russia. The property belongs to Russia. Its area exceeds 3,300 square meters.

The Finnish media explained that the arrest is an interim measure. It does not allow the transfer, destruction or pledge of seized property.

In addition, seven apartments in the capital of Finland were arrested. They are related to those who are also under European sanctions. Three apartments are located near the Russian House. Their area varies from 36 to 175 square meters.

Earlier, the Finnish authorities froze the accounts of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in banks in Helsinki due to anti-Russian sanctions. The bank is prohibited from transferring and disbursing funds to anyone other than a bailiff.
