Building of Russian Center for Science and Culture caught fire in Nicosia

The building of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo caught fire in the capital of Cyprus, TASS reports. It is believed that arson was the cause of the fire, said the head of the Russian House, Alina Radchenko. According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out after the building was pelted with Molotov cocktails.

Alina Radchenko specified that the employess heard two bangs, and the wall and the roof were on fire. People were evacuated. The police cordoned off the building. Five fire trucks and an armored personnel carrier arrived to put out the fire.

Representatives of the center said that the fire was extinguished, no one was hurt. Experts have launched an investigation into what happened.
