The traditional Russian-Indian festival of culture took place on May, 6 and May, 7 at the Indian museum-estate of the Roerich family. The festival was timed to coincide with the 115th anniversary of the wife of the famous Russian artist Svyatoslav Roerich, the famous Indian actress Devika Rani Roerich, according to the telegram channel of the Russian Embassy in India.

It is noted that the actress not only helped her husband to comprehend Indian culture, but also became his muse. Svyatoslav Roerich painted many portraits of his wife, in which he reflected his love for her. Their long and happy union is called a symbol of the commonality of Indian and Russian cultures.

Within the framework of the festival, a photo exhibition began its work in the exhibition hall of the International Roerich Memorial Trust. Also, young Indians, students of the Helena Roerich Children's Academy of Arts, performed at the institution. Last autumn, it was reported that the institution would begin classes in Russian for local residents.
