Delegations from 85 countries take part in Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum

The vast majority of Russian regions and 85 countries are represented at the international economic Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum. It kicks off in Kazan on Thursday, May 18, TASS reports.

According to the organizers, at least 15,000 people take part in the forum. The largest delegations came from Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. Many countries are represented at the ambassadorial level. Among the participants are Deputy Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov, Marat Khusnullin, Alexei Overchuk, heads of almost 20 regions. The presence of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church is expected.

The forum over the years of its existence has turned into an effective platform, the work of which is aimed at strengthening ties between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world.

About 200 events are planned. The list includes round table discussions, conferences, strategic sessions and much more.
