Over 15 tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered to Syrian residents affected by the earthquake by the Russian Red Cross (RRC), the Russian House telegram channel reports.

The specialists of the RRC provided medical and psychological help to 3,500 Syrians.

Within two weeks, Russian doctors examined almost 200 residents, a number of them received medical prescriptions and medicines. In addition, representatives of the RRC held games and sports with Syrian children, arranged cartoons screenings and introduced children to the Russian language.

The RRC team handed over to the Syrian colleagues a mobile station and equipment to provide assistance to those in need.

A team of 13 specialists, including doctors and psychologists, has been working in Syria since May, 20. The program included visits to at least ten settlements. The RRC mission in Syria was the second in a row after the earthquake; in March, Russian specialists provided assistance to 1,000 Syrians affected by the disaster.
