Taxi robots controlled by artificial intelligence appeared on the streets of the Russian capital. The project is being implemented by Yandex, currently robot taxis operate only within the Moscow district of Yasenevo, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

The innovation caused a stir in the capital. To make a trip with artificial intelligence as a driver, one must apply in advance, and tens of thousands of people have already done this.

Some have already managed to make a trip by robotaxi. Muscovite Anna said that the car without a driver was driving at an average speed, scrupulously observing the rules of the road, making lane changes in three lanes.

The passenger noted that she liked the new experience, but she did not see any special differences from the usual trip. Currently, the cost of a trip by robotaxi is only 100 rubles, which is much less than ordering a car with a driver.

After the end of testing, access to the robot taxi will be opened for everyone who needs a trip to Yasenevo.
