St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra to perform in seven cities of China

The tour route of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic in China will cover seven cities. The orchestra will leave for China on June, 15, TASS reports.

The orchestra will visit China for the first time in three years. The break was due to COVID-19 restrictions.

This tour was prepared in record time - two months. 

As part of the tour, seven concerts are planned, all tickets are already sold out. The Chinese public will hear the music by the famous Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.

The orchestra will perform under the direction of chief conductor Nikolai Alekseev. The soloist is pianist Daniil Kharitonov.

The first performance will take place in Beijing, after that the Russian musicians will head to Tianjin, Wuhan, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Changsha. The tour will end with a performance in Shanghai.
