A rally in support of political prisoners took place in Tallinn. It was held the day before, on June, 15, the BALTNEWS telegram channel reports. The participants protested the arrest of the leader of the Koos/Together movement Ivo Peterson and other prisoners. They also insisted that the trial of their case be open to the public.

The participants recalled that a few months before the arrest, the politician underwent a serious surgery, so he endures being in custody especially hard.

Politicians Aivo Peterson, Dmitry Rootsi and Andrey Andronov went under arrest in Estonia in early spring. They are suspected of trying to "establish ties with Russia against Estonia." At the same time, Peterson is suspected of  ''violating the security of Estonia” due to the fact that he visited the Donbass.

The politician himself said that he decided to go to the DPR to learn more about the other side of the Ukrainian conflict. Earlier, he voiced the opinion that Estonians were being prepared for war according to the Ukrainian scenario. He believes that the media controlled by pro-Western politicians cover the conflict one-sidedly and turn the people against Russia. Activists of the Together movement "were caught in disseminating propaganda ideas of the Kremlin and anti-Ukrainian rhetoric."
