Russia and China return to full-fledged cooperation in the field of culture after pandemic

Moscow and Beijing agreed to return to full-fledged cultural cooperation after the pandemic. The parties have outlined many areas and projects for implementation, the website of the Ministry of Culture of Russia reports.

Chinese Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism Lu Yinchuan noted that the parties were quickly able to return to live communication and organize a number of significant projects. The representative of China assured that the country is interested in holding cultural exchange festivals, and also called the development of cooperation between the regions of the two countries one of the most important issues.

The parties confirmed that cultural festivals would be resumed. Russia is preparing to host Chinese cultural figures this year, and China is waiting for Russian performers in 2024. Also, representatives of the two countries will take part in a number of leading festivals to be held in Russia and China.

One of the nearest joint events in the field of culture will be the 1st Russian-Chinese library forum, which will open on July, 24 in Moscow. Major exhibition projects are being prepared that will link the leading museums of the two countries.
