The results of the "Victory in the hearts of generations" reciting contest have been summed up. Students and graduates from African and Asian countries were invited to participate in it. The competition was held for the 4th time. The winners were presented with awards in the Federation Council.

The main goal of the competition was to motivate foreign students to study the Russian language. In addition, the contest helps to develop interest in the books of Russian authors glorifying the heroic deeds of the defenders of the Fatherland, as well as in the history of the Great Patriotic War.

According to the organizers, they received about 500 applications from representatives of 61 countries, including Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.

The winners were determined in several categories depending on the preparation. Students from the CIS countries were singled out as a separate group, since they speak Russian better than students from other countries. The contestants performed works by Anna Akhmatova, Konstantin Simonov, Andrei Dementiev, Robert Rozhdestvensky, Bulat Okudzhava and other authors who wrote about the war.
