Representatives of a number of Argentinean public organizations and the trade union of press workers in Buenos Aires stated that they agree with Russia's foreign policy. They announced this at a meeting with Russian diplomats, which took place at the embassy, the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

It is noted that members of four socio-political associations of Argentina and representatives of the trade union of press workers of Buenos Aires came to the meeting at the Russian diplomatic mission.

The participants supported the foreign policy course pursued by Russia. The embassy noted that the Argentines clearly understand that Moscow, on the international track, defends not only its own interests, but also supports the efforts of all states that oppose the desire to promote a neo-colonial model of development.

Despite the geographical remoteness of the two countries, interest in Russia in Argentina has not waned for many decades. Russian clubs opened in large cities and regions of the country by immigrants from the Russian Empire and the USSR contributed to this interest. For about 100 years, these associations have been helping to preserve Russian culture in Argentina.
