Russian Film Festival kicks off in India

The Russian Film Festival (RFF) starts in India, RIA Novosti reports. Starting from August, 25, residents of Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the country, can see the work of local directors. The festival is timed to coincide with the G20 Ministers of Culture meeting. It will take place in Varanasi tomorrow, August, 26.

The festival program includes five movies. Among them are two comedies by Nikita Vladimirov: "High Security Parents" and "I'm on Rewind!". The audience will also see Karen Oganesyan's fantastic comedy ''Terrible Dad.'' Its main character is Tsar Ivan the Terrible, who finds himself in the modern world.

Alexander Kott's ''Chuk and Gek. The Big Adventure'' and ''Buka. My favorite monster" will be screened for family audiences. It is among the top three highest-grossing Russian films abroad last year.

Films are shown in Russian with Hindi and English subtitles, animations are shown with English dubbing and Hindi subtitles.
