The Russian robot became the winner of the RobotChallenge-2023 international competition in China for performing the Katyusha song and other songs on a hoverboard. The robot was created by the ITMO Youth Robotics Laboratory, TASS reports.

The Russian robot named Robert Robotecky was declared the winner in the Free Style Senior nomination. It conquered the judges by singing "Katyusha", "Moscow Evenings", Finnish polka and a number of other compositions, while balancing on a hoverboard.

The singing robot was developed by a young team that included ITMO freshman Dmitry Yakovlev and St. Petersburg high school student Daria Yablunina. The named nomination was introduced specifically for robots that cannot participate in other categories.

RobotChallenge competitions have been held every year for almost 20 years, this time more than 3,000 experts in the field of robotics from 24 countries have taken part in it.
