An Orthodox church will appear in Tanzania, the website of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa reports. The ceremony of consecrating the foundation stone at the construction site took place on August, 27. A temple in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker will be erected in the village of Kimamba, which is located in the Kilos district. The ceremony was headed by Dean Priest Lavrentiy Sakva.

In July, a new Orthodox parish appeared in Tanzania. It is founded in the Iringa District of Nyamagan District. The parish was named in honor of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine.
