Representatives of more than 20 states participate in Summer Diplomatic Games

Diplomats from more than 20 countries took part in the Summer Diplomatic Games, TASS reports. They started in the Tver region. The tournament has been held for almost 25 years, it became the 24th in a row.

According to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the competition is aimed at strengthening friendly relations and mutual trust in the diplomatic corps, which operates in Moscow. The minister conveyed to the participants the wishes of "an honest fight, a healthy competitive spirit, a charge of positive emotions and all the best."

Diplomats from Armenia, Belarus, India, Indonesia, Iraq, China, North Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya, Cuba, Malaysia, Mongolia and other countries will fight for victory. Teams compete under national flags.

Individuals will compete in tennis, billiards, fishing, skeet shooting and cross country. The team competitions will be held in mini-football, volleyball and basketball. 

The Five Seas, Three Oceans gastronomic festival is timed to coincide with the games. Guests will try fish and seafood dishes traditional in different regions of the country.
