Russian physicist Dmitry Yudin became the winner of the International Competition for Young Innovators of the BRICS countries. This is the first victory of a Russian participant in a project involving young scientists from Russia, Brazil, India, China and South Africa, according to the telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The names of the winner were announced as part of the Young Scientists Forum, which took place in South Africa. The award ceremony in Gqeberha was attended by the head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov and the heads of educational departments of South Africa and China.

The winner of the competition was the Russian Dmitry Yudin, who developed, with the support of colleagues from the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, a non-contact method of vibration diagnostics for industrial equipment. The innovation was introduced into the production of leading Russian companies. It is noted that the development can be used in the production of drones, robots and medical equipment.

Second and third place went to Liu Guongsheng of China and Brazil's Marlon Wesley Machado Cuninho, respectively. In the coming year, a competition aimed at identifying the most promising scientific and innovative projects will be held as part of Russia's BRICS chairmanship.
