1st Russian-Chinese forum Rostki is taking place in Kazan

More than 3,000 people became participants in the Russian-Chinese Rostki forum, RIA Novosti reports. Its work began in the capital of Tatarstan on Thursday, September, 7.

The event is held for the first time, it is aimed at strengthening interaction between countries in many areas, including information technology, engineering, education, sports and others. If the forum proves its effectiveness, it will become an annual event.

According to the organizers, more than half of Russian regions are represented at the forum. They were joined by representatives of 20 countries - South Africa, Hungary, Cameroon, Iran, Turkey, India and others. 

The forum program includes many thematic sessions. The participants will discuss the development of information technologies, issues of transport, tourism, and investment spheres. An important place will be occupied by the topics of culture, healthcare and many others.

There are two exhibitions within the framework of the summit. One of them is devoted to metalworking and machine tool building. The topic of the second will be the automotive industry. There, the Chinese auto industry will widely present its products.

The ''Russia-China: Economic Rapprochement, Major Projects, Infrastructural Prospects" plenary section is scheduled for September, 8. 

The forum will include a vast cultural program. At the concert ''Days of China in Tatarstan'', Russian and Chinese students of the Kazan Conservatory will perform music by world classics.

The "Painting: the contact of cultures of Russia and China" exhibition will also open, visitors will be able to see works by painters from Tatarstan inspired by China. In addition, the program includes the "Our Ching Ke" theatrical performance, which tells about the legendary Chinese warrior.
