Russian Scientific Institute created in Belgrade 95 years ago

A round table discussion dedicated to the anniversary of the Russian Scientific Institute (RSI) in Belgrade will be held at the Solzhenitsyn House of Russians Abroad. On Saturday, September, 16, the founding of RSI celebrates 95 years, the Russian Abroad with Marina Sorokina telegram channel reports. The event is scheduled for September, 29. Among its participants will be RSI Director Irina Antanasevich. The organizers invite everyone who is interested in this topic.

RSI was founded in 1928. During its existence, it gained fame as one of the most authoritative scientific organizations in the Russian diaspora in the first half of the last century.

The Russian Scientific Institute was established within the framework of the 4th congress of Russian academic organizations abroad; the congress began work on September, 16. Last February, a significant event took place in Belgrade: after more than 80 years, the Russian Scientific Institute resumed its activities.
