This year, 3,815 people from abroad moved to the Tula region as part of the program of the Center for Temporary Accommodation of Compatriots to assist the voluntary resettlement of Russian compatriots, TSN24 reports.

It is noted that half of those who moved under the program are children, and 45% are people of working age. Currently, there are two branches of the center in the Tula region - in Tula and Plavsk. The third will appear next year in Efremov.

Russian regions are actively developing a state program for the resettlement of compatriots from abroad, offering them payments, assistance and opportunities for relocation, residence and employment. In September, the Omsk region and the Russian Consulate General in Bonn held a round table discussion for compatriots. There, the Russian region, which has recorded an increase in immigrants from Germany, presented programs to facilitate the resettlement of compatriots.
