Russian athletes were not allowed to participate in the 2024 Youth Olympic Games, Soviet Sport reports. The tournament will take place from January, 19 to February, 2 and will be held in South Korea.

According to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Russians will not be allowed to take part in the competition even in a neutral status.

Previously, athletes in a neutral status were not allowed to participate only in team competitions, but now the restrictions have become more stringent.

The IOC previously recommended allowing athletes from Russia to participate in international competitions only in a neutral status, as well as when expressing a position on Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
