Representatives of more than 30 countries have sent applications for the Knowledge Prize, RIA Novosti reports. First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko recalled that the international category appeared for the first time this year. According to him, applications are still being accepted; there are already applications from almost all continents, including the United States, African, Latin American countries, Southeast Asian countries and other regions.

Sergei Kiriyenko noted that the competition covered all Russian regions, including new territories.

The best will be chosen in three categories: ''Educator'', ''Education Project'' and ''Education Campaign''. 27 winners in 17 categories will receive the award. The awards ceremony is scheduled for the end of autumn. It will take place in the Kremlin Palace.

The Russian Society's Knowledge Prize recognizes the achievements of Russian educators, as well as other outstanding people and projects from various fields.
