Flag relay before Children of Primorye winter games to cover 5 states

The route of the flag relay devoted to the Children of Primorye winter games will cover more than 40,000 kilometers, TASS reports. It will become the longest in Russia. The tournament organizing committee called this project unique. The relay will pass through nine Far Eastern regions, and will also take place in Belarus, Uzbekistan, China and North Korea.

The relay starts on January, 15. The first to enter the route will be the Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako, then Sakhalin will receive it, and from there it will continue through the territory of the Khabarovsk Territory.

In Vladivostok, the relay will take place on February, 10, after the opening ceremony. About 300 bands from many Russian regions are going to participate in it.

The plot of the ceremony tells about an ordinary child who realizes the need to find his way to his dream. He begins to ask questions and look for answers, each of which brings him closer to his goal.

The 1st Children of Primorye summer games opened in Vladivostok on July, 2, young athletes from Russia, Belarus and China took part in them. 84 sets of awards were played in 11 sports. The Belarusian team won the medal standings.

Oleg Kozhemyako noted that the games brought together children from many Russian regions, including new territories, as well as from two Chinese provinces. The Belarusian team was also numerous. According to him, the games help young athletes to believe in their strength and make friends.

The games are held by the Russian Ministry of Sports together with the administration of Vladivostok and the government of Primorye.
