Lyudmila Putina Presents Maxim Gorky Literary Prizes

The winners of this year’s Maxim Gorky national prizes for achievement in literature are the writer Sergei Yesin, the research journalist Lev Berdnikov, the critic Sergei Belyakov and the poets Igor Melamed and Vladimir Leonovich. Presenting the awards at a Moscow ceremony Wednesday, Lyudmila Putina, wife of the prime minister, praised the winners for steadfastness and perseverance in their challenging trade.
