Memory of World War I Events Honored in Gaugazia

The exhibition “Natives of Gagauzia – Heroes and Participants of World War I, 1914-1918”, which opened in November 2014 in the town of Ceadîr-Lunga, concluded on February 27, 2015. 

During the period of the exhibition, Svetlana Kapanzhi, coordinator of the project “Revival and Preservation of the Memory of Participants of World War I, 1914-1918, from Gaugazia – Memory of the Forgotten War”, held several tours of the exhibition for pupils of gymnasiums and vocational colleges of the city and other areas of southern Moldova.  

The exhibition was held in a well-visited site – the lobby of the city hall. It was viewed by no less than 500 people. This was a good result achieved thanks to the cooperation of many people and organizations and the financial support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
