Israelian Children Improve Russian Skills

14.08.2015

A summer language camp has concluded in the children's village of Ben Shemen in Israel. More than 100 children from the age of 7 to 16 attended the camp, and all the participants made effective use of the time, given that only those children who really wanted to improve their Russian language skills were invited to the school.

The children were divided into groups according to language ability. Each group was assigned an experience Russian language teacher. Many of the children were invited to attend owing to their high scores at Russian language competitions organised by the Israelian Centre for the Support of Children's Art, which in turn receives support and financing from the Israelian office of Rossotrudnichestvo and from the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The Russian language competitions were contested by 600 schoolchildren from across the country, with the main prize being a free trip to the summer school. The prize was won by 14-year-old pupil Nastya Zadornova from Netanya.
