They also went on a sightseeing tour around Minsk which focused on the links between the city and fiction, with a special mention of Francysk Skaryna and his contribution to book printing in Slavic countries. The evening was capped off with a screening of a literature-themed film and a psychological training session “Evening Candle” devoted to the role of fiction in the participants’ lives.

Nine teachers from Italy, Serbia, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Latvia and Belarus contended for the Crystal Inkpot prize, giving lessons dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the birth of Anton Chekhov. The winners will be announced on 22 October at the closing ceremony of the event.
