Staff at Batumi Hotels to Speak Russian

17.03.2016

The lectures of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) are going to train Batumi hotels’ staff in the Russian language for ten days.

Forty members of hotel staff are supposed to take part in a Russian language additional training program in order to improve their skills.

An intensive Russian language course “Russian For Tourism and Hotel Business” includes 72 resident classes, individual work and the end-of-course assessment.

The additional language course “Russian For Tourism and Hotel Business” was developed by the PFUR and it is aimed at members of hotel staff dealing with the reception and providing services to Russian and Russian-speaking tourists. The program is focused on those who can speak basic Russian.

Batumi is a fast developing tourist destination and the number of Russian tourists is constantly growing so the Russian language course bounds to improve the hotel staff skills. In addition, it is supposed to help improve communication between common people.

The project is implemented with the support of the National Congress of Georgia's Slavic Peoples, PFUR and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
