Performers of Alexandrov Ensemble are remembered in US

07.02.2017

Series of concerts in memory of Alexandrov Ensemble performers and humanitarian worker Elizaveta Glinka are held in US. The 40th day after the death coincides with the concert in San-Francisco. The participants are various ensembles, including Slavyanka choir, Eparcial Choir of The Russian Orthodox Cathedral and others. Music of Russian composers, spiritual music and popular songs were performed.

According to the organizers, the audience has completely filled out the hall of the Star of the Sea church in SF.

Memorial events will continue next month in the American capital. Two concerts will take place at the Embassy of Russia and Rossotrudnichestvo representative office. The organizer of these events, opera singer Olga Orlovsky has explained that both concerts will be an act of philanthropy. All the funds collected will be donated to the families of the victims.

Let us remind that the Russian aircraft with nine journalists, humanitarian worker and charity activist Elizaveta Glinka and 64 Alexandrov Ensemble performers crushed into the Black Sea early morning of December, 25.

Similar events have been arranged in Berlin, Warszawa and other cities around the globe.
