According to him, they tried to oblige visitors wearing boot covers. However, it was not practiced for a long time and did not present itself well, so it was decided to stop this practice. There will not be boot covers or slippers any longer, the Hermitage director added. He explained that the boot covers were introduced to protect the historical parquet, but the special floor polish was designed for this purpose a long time ago. Director has added that the polish is constantly renewed and people have an opportunity to visit the museum without special boot covers.

The museum continues its reconstruction. In particular, the entrance hall’s interior is to change. Vast recreation zone will appear instead of Cafemax soon, so people will have rest after standing in a long queue.

He has also complained about criminals who sell tickets to the State Hermitage on-line. They sell more expensive tickets to the Hermitage offering services, which never existed in the Museum before.
