Alexandrov Ensemble performs in Bejing to a full house

Sergey Bobulev/ RF Defence MinistryAlexandrov Ensemble started their tour in China on January the 4th, TASS reports. Russian musicians performed at the main stage of Performing Art Center in in Beijing. All 2500 seats were accommodated.

The ensemble has performed WW2 songs, including Smuglyanka, etc. Earlier the artistic director of the Ensemble Gennady Sachenyk mentioned that their play list is not limited to war-time songs. The Chinese audience heard famous Kalinka, the song the ensemble is recognized by.

Great proficiency and vocal skills of the singers enable them to sing opera. They performed a part from Turandot by Jacomo Puccini in Beijin. The audience also welcomed Russian folk songs.

The musicians have a tradition to sing in the language of the country they are visiting. This time was no exception. The audience could also admire the skills of dancers.

In the end the concert Moscow Nights song was performed. The song is well-known in China, so the audience sang along.
