Australians to see Hermitage masterpieces

The State Hermitage Museum to open Contemporary Art Pioneers: Hermitage Masterpieces from Sydney exhibition, RIA Novosti reports. It is to be held in New South Wales art gallery supposedly in October 2018.

Visitors to be introduced to 60 art pieces of the French impressionists and Russian Avant-Garde artists Kandinsky and Malevich. Works are dated from 1890 to 1920. According to the The Hermitage curators these artists made a revolution in the art.

The unique in the museum's collection work Mask of Australian painter George Lambert is to be exhibited as well. Lambert was born in American family in Saint Petersburg. He studied art in Europe. Later he moved to Australia to became one of the first artists recognised in Europe.

The exhibit is to be opened for 5 months.
